Shakespeare's Globe Tour Comes To Chilham
Exploring the themes of refuge and displacement, a trio of plays will be staged by versatile actors taking multiple roles and playing musical instruments to boot, when Shakespeare’s Globe Tour comes to Chilham Castle in May.
First up is Perciles, followed by A Comedy of Errors as a Saturday matinee, with Twelfth Night in the evening, while Sunday sees the order reversed.
Don’t miss out on these timeless tales of those who have crossed seas, lost families, seek lost homes or find out what belonging truly means.
Brendan O’Hea will direct the tour of eight actors and the three plays will open at the Globe and then start the tour at Chilham Castle before setting out across the UK and rest of the world.
And for the first time, Chilham Castle is hosting Glamping in conjunction with Events Under Canvas (eventsundercanvas.co.uk) to provide the perfect complement to your Shakespeare experience. Stay in a fully-equipped bell tent, with the Castle as your backdrop and enjoy the plays, tipi bar, street food and log fires with views of the beautiful Kentish countryside.
