The Bard... on Bikes
The world’s first cycling theatre company The Handlebards, pedal from venue to venue with all the set, props and costume necessary to perform environmentally sustainable Shakespeare across the globe.
And on Wednesday 29th August, their all-male troupe will be pedalling into Tonbridge to the Library Gardens at Tonbridge School for a bicycle-powered production of Twelfth Night like no other.
In usual Handlebards style there will be riotous amounts of energy, a fair whack of chaos – and a great deal of laughter!
Enjoyable for all ages (suitable for ages 5+), audiences are invited to come into the Gardens from 5.30pm and to bring a rug, cushions and picnics to enjoy The Handelbards unique brand of extremely energetic, charmingly chaotic, environmentally-friendly cycle-powered outdoor theatre. Gates open from 5.30pm, performance starts at 6.30pm.
Tickets cost £15 in advance, £17 on the day (cash only).
