Rotarians Invite Tonbridge School Leavers To Lunch

Students from the Judd School, Hillview School for Girls, Tonbridge Grammar School for Girls, the Weald of Kent Grammar School and Hugh Christie School were invited to a lunch meeting, hosted by Tonbridge Rotary Club, at the Rose & Crown Hotel in Tonbridge.

For the past seven years Rotarian Jack Cuipka, who is a member of the Club’s Vocational Service Committee, has organised the annual ‘School Leavers’ lunch’. All Tonbridge senior schools are invited to participate in this event at which a student, selected by their school, gives a short speech concerning their school life, their own interests and ambitions for the future.

Tonbridge Rotary Club’s president Sonia Williams said: “It was an enormous pleasure to welcome these young people at the end of their school careers and learn of their plans for their on-going education. We wish them all success for the future.”
