Kids in Pyramids at Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells
Kids In Pyramids, which ran for four weeks during the summer at Royal Victoria Place (RVP) in Tunbridge Wells, proved to be a big hit with young families from Dover to Aylesford and beyond, visiting West Kent’s biggest shopping centre.
The spectacular event was a first for Kent and Sussex and also the first time a shopping centre in England has hosted this event.
Since the free to enter Egyptian-themed interactive event opened on Saturday 28th July, RVP welcomed more than 220,000 visitors with Sunday 29th July seeing a 12% increase in visitors against last year.
Kids In Pyramids, which was open every day until 27th August, was designed for children between five and 12 years of age, allowing them to go on an amazing adventure where they learn about life in ancient Egypt surrounded by iconic architectural elements and get involved in exciting games and enjoy lots of fun.
Children were able to dress up, enter the pyramids, dig in the sand searching for artefacts, find the key to the treasure room, learn about hieroglyphics, build pyramids, climb on the Sphinx, decipher the hidden codes and have lots of fun with the mummies, not to mention the chance to have funny photos taken with Tutankhamun’s sarcophagus or seated on The Pharaoh’s Throne.
