Bedding Down For A Good Night's Sleep
Celebrate National Bed Month with a better night’s sleep
March marks National Bed Month (from the 1st-31st), a campaign dedicated to improving a good night’s kip with a comfortable and supportive bed and run in conjunction with the Sleep Council.
In total you spend about one third of your life on your mattress, so it plays a big part in your general health and wellbeing, not to mention your day-to-day energy levels, alertness and mood – and that’s why it’s important to look for signs that it may be old and tired. Once you spot these signs, you should really replace your mattress. According to the experts, you should ideally replace your mattress every seven to 10 years.
Is your mattress showing signs of wear and tear? If you can see a visible dip in the middle, or if you can feel the springs through it, then it’s definitely time for a change. The same goes for a noisy mattress too – if it’s creaking, groaning and pinging all night long, then it’s obviously not in a sound condition – and also if you and your partner keeping rolling towards each other – albeit unintentionally!
