Countdown to Canterbury Bike Ride 2018
The annual Canterbury Bike Ride, celebrating its fifth year, takes place on Sunday 23rd September when riders will have the opportunity to take part in the 80, 50 or 25-mile routes through the striking Kent countryside.
Individuals and teams will start and finish at Canterbury Rugby Club – where they can enjoy a relaxing beer after putting in the miles – and food stops along the route will supply some of the best produce the region has to offer.
Last year’s ride surpassed all fundraising targets and raised £7,500 shared between Wheelchair Rugby, Kent MS Therapy Centre, and Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance.
This year sees Iconic Cycling Events (ICE), the specialist cycling division of Breathing Space Activities Ltd, joining forces with the bike ride, and organisers are hoping to attract more than 600 riders.
As in previous years, the Canterbury Bike Ride will be supported by a number of local business, including The Canterbury INDEX Magazine, Barretts of Canterbury, Lenleys, Kent College Canterbury and Dynamix.
